Latzfonser Kreuz
Directions:
From the Kühhof car park, which is about a 30-minute drive from us, a well-marked hiking trail leads in about an hour to the cozy Klausnerhütte – perfect for a first stop and refreshment. From there, the climb is steeper to the Latzfonser Kreuz mountain hut, which, with its idyllic little church, is a real highlight. Those who still have the energy and desire can attempt the ascent to the majestic Kassianspitze or climb to the summit of Ritzlar and enjoy a breathtaking view.

Alternative: The Kaseregg car park is about a 45-minute drive from us. From there, a well-marked trail leads up to the saddle, past the impressive Kesselbild (cauldron). The trail then continues gently downhill to the Latzfonser Kreuz mountain hut, where the picturesque church and magnificent views invite you to take a well-deserved rest.
